18 May COMELEC Disqualifies 7 Overaged SK officials Elected in Cagayan de Oro
Mga higala! According to a report by Sunstar CDO, the Commision on Elections or COMELEC has disqualified seven (7) elected Sangguniang Kabataan officials in Cagayan de Oro for exceeding the SK age limit.
City Comelec Officer Lawyer Ramil Acol recently reported this thru a letter to the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the following are the overaged SK officials that he identified:
- Ian King March Pimentel Miyake- SK chairperson, Brgy. Cugman
- Michelle Jose Tamparong- SK member, Brgy. 25
- Samson Roa- SK chairperson, Brgy. Tumpagon
- Darryl Jay Miego Romero- SK member, Brgy. 32
- Jocell Lauderes- SK member, Brgy. 21
- John Baltazar Padinit Joaquin- SK member, Brgy. Bonbon
- Agustine Racaza Laron- SK chairperson, Brgy. Indahag
Among the mentioned overaged SK officials, Roa, Romero, Kauderes, Laron, and Joaquin have already been proclaimed but Acol expressed that, “Their proclamation is suspended, and if they were already proclaimed, the proclamation bears no effect.”
As of now, Acol said that their office still hasn’t received election protests, but he wants to urge those who have any questions to visit.
