02 May Comelec Iligan Office Ransacked on Thursday
12 days before the day of the Elections 2016 proper, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) office on Roxas Avenue in Iligan City was ransacked by a group of unidentified persons on April 28, Thursday.
According to the police, the break-in was reported by a Comelec employer named Evan Baylon Eras who was the first one to report for work. Eras then said that she found the office messy, with the office tables and drawers opened and some documents disorganized.
A computer set, wire and supplies of some cash, rice and coffee were missing as said by the authorities.
It was suspected that the unidentified persons broke in through a small opening at the back of the said office.
