21 Dec Comfort Rooms For LGBT To Be Built In Laguindingan Airport

In an article posted by Sunstar.com, the Laguindingan Airport, at Misamis Oriental is currently undergoing a renovation process.
According to the Manager of Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP): Engineer Jose Bodiongan, the renovation has started with the flooring replacement from the installed rubberized tiles to ceramic.
The process will include the construction of additional facilities. With this, they will also add washrooms for the Lesbian Gay Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Community. This was specifically requested by President Rodrigo Duterte in order to give LGBT’s consideration with regards to gender sensitivity.
The Department of Transportation has also planned this spaces in other terminals.
Further, Engineer Bodiongan assured that additional security is implemented inside the airport especially due to the holiday season.
They would also like to ask for the patience of all their passengers. Inconveniences may arise, but they are doing their best to finish all renovations.
