The suspect is described by the Philippine National Police (PNP) during a press conference in Davao City as male, slim, 5 feet and 7 inches tall and about 30-years-old. The composite image is based on the recognition of the eye witnesses during the explosion.

To get a definite image of the suspect, the police will continue to analyze the closed circuit television (CCTV) footage, Davao region police director Chief Superintendent Manuel Gaerlan said.

Daughter of President Duterte and currently the Davao City Mayor, Sara, offered a P2-million reward for the information and arrest of the suspects in the explosion.

An improvised explosive device (IED) caused the Davao blast last September 2, Friday at Roxas Street night market that killed 14 and injured 60 people.

The IED used in the blast was made out of two mortar rounds, according to an initial investigation.

The “extremists” were believed to have done it but the police did not determine yet the motive for the explosion.

The police also did not disregard that the explosion can also be done by drug syndicates.

There are three “persons of interest,” a man and two women, in connection with the explosion and the Davao police are now hunting down these three. It was said that the two women were “tagging along” with the suspect said, Davao City police chief Senior Superintendent Michael John Dubria.

On Wednesday, the PNP’s third-in-command, Police Director Benjamin Magalong went to Davao to get updates by regional and city police on the development of the investigation.
