04 Aug Congress Approves Bill Aiming To Establish College Of Medicine @ USTP
Mga higala! The House of Representatives has approved House Bill No. 9522, a measure that aims to establish a College of Medicine in the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) in Cagayan de Oro City!
With this, the said bill will now be submitted to the Senate for another round of deliberations.
When passed into law, this College of Medicine will be open to all interested applicants who will pass a set entrance exam.
The tuition will then be socialized, which means that students from low-income families will pay a lower tuition fee compared to students from high-income families.
Deserving students can even make use of the “Doktor Para sa Bayan Act” (RA 11509) and avail of a medical scholarship from the national government.
