The construction of the North Wing Building of the hospital is a project under the Health Facility Enhancement Program (HFEP) of the Department of Health (DOH). It also has a total budget of P70.5 million intended for the upgrade the current Level 1 of the City Hospital.

The upgrade looks to cater to the rapid increase in the number of patients who are visiting the hospital and the need to increase and provide the right service to Kagay-anons and as well as neighboring places.

The project is spearheaded by incumbent CdeO Mayor Oscar Moreno together with JRBGH Acting Chief of Hospital, Dr. Ramon Nery, and other personnel and staff of the City Hall’s Office of the Building Official, Engineering, Assessors and General Services Office and Department of Health.
