18 Feb Cop Dies In Shootout @ Libertad, Misamis Oriental: 1 Suspect Dead, 1 Arrested, Others Escaped
Mga higala! A brave police officer was killed in a shootout with several suspects last night, February 17, 2020, in Libertad, Misamis Oriental.
The cop was identified as PMSG Ronald Mugot Caayupan of the Libertad Municipal Police Station. His colleague, Staff Sergeant Fernando Maestrado, was injured.
According to reports, the incident happened after the suspects’ vehicle was flagged down in a road checkpoint, in Libertad, at around 8:30 pm.
1 of the suspects was killed by the police but several others escaped by jumping off a bridge.
