Corpus Christi Brings Home Championship Trophy in 21st Milo Little Olympics Mindanao Leg

Cagayan de Oro’s own Corpus Christi School emerged as the overall champion in the recently concluded 21st Milo Little Olympics Mindanao Leg last Saturday, September 23.

Fighting for the overall championship spot were the Little Knights and Maramag Elementary School with final and official medal count points of 88.5 against 85 in favor of the Little Knights in the elementary division.

In an article from Sunstar Cagayan de Oro, Corpus Christi’s feat was achieved due in part from the combined 21.5 points in sports events such a gymnastics, swimming, and taekwondo and 15 collective points in badminton girls, football team, and table tennis boys. Adding up to the team’s winning score standing is the 10 points in boy’s chess, 7 in boy’s badminton, 3 girl’s chess, and 2 from table tennis girls.

In the secondary division, the Corpus Christi Knights ruled in the finals with 173.5 points leaving Misamis Oriental General Comprehensive High School (MOGCHS) on second place and Iligan National High School on third place.

Other schools in Mindanao making it to the top 10 for secondary division are La Salle Academy Iligan (45), Agusan National High School-Butuan (43), Xavier University High School (42.6), Lanao del Norte National Comprehensive High School (40), Looc National High School (38), Infant School of Jesus-Bukidnon (35) and Bukidnon National High School (34.7).
