21 Jun Court of Appeals Junks 24 Admin Cases Against Mayor Moreno

Mga higala! The Court of Appeals’ 12th division has dismissed 24 administrative cases against Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Oscar Moreno, regarding the rental of heavy equipment when he was still the governor of Misamis Oriental.

The said cases were junked due to the lack of “clear and convincing evidence.”

“Nothing is sweeter than being vindicated,” said Mayor Moreno in a press conference, according to the Philippine News Agency (PNA). He also noted that the cases were “designed” to discredit his credibility.

The 33-page decision of the Court of Appeals was signed by Associate Justices Victoria Isabel Paredes, Marlene Gonzales-Sison, and Maria Elisa Sempio Diy on May 15, 2019.
