01 Mar COVID-19 Test, Travel Authority, & More No Longer Required For Travel In All LGUs
Mga higala! The Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) has recently approved the “uniform travel protocols” for all local government units (LGUs) in the Philippines!
With this, the following will be implemented:
- COVID-19 testing will no longer be mandatory for travelers (unless the LGU decides to make it a requirement)
- Travelers are not required to undergo quarantine upon their arrival (unless they exhibit symptoms)
- Travel Authorities and health certificates are no longer required
However, travelers are reminded to still strictly observe minimum health standards like:
- physical distancing
- hand hygiene
- cough etiquette
- wearing of face masks and face shields
