11 May COVID-19 Variant From India Detected In PH
Mga higala! A COVID-19 variant (B.1.617) that originated from India has recently been detected in the Philippines!
According to a report by ABS-CBN News, at least 2 cases of the said variant were recently discovered by the Department of Health (DOH).
- 37-year-old from Oman
• arrived on April 10 and declared recovered on April 26 - 38-year-old from the United Arab Emirates (UAE)
• arrived on April 19 and declared recovered on May 6
One of these cases is now in Soccksargen, while the other one is in Bicol.
BTW, both of these cases have no travel history to India.
