CSC Considers Lowering Passing Rate For Civil Service Exams

Mga higala! The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has recently said that it’s considering lowering the passing grade for its civil service exams!

According to ABS-CBN News, CSC Commissioner Aileen Lizada disclosed that they have tackled a proposal for this and cited that even the Supreme Court has lowered the passing rate for bar exams in several instances.

Lizada then expressed that lowering the passing rate “does not mean that we have lesser competent and lesser qualified civil servants.”

She also added that “We need to have more government officials and employees.”

ICYDK, only 11.62% of the 255,778 takers passed the CSC career service test last August 2019.
