02 Jun CSWD-CDO to Review Curfew Ordinance in Cagayan de Oro City
The head of the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWD) of Cagayan de Oro, Teddy Sabuga-a, said that they will be reviewing the curfew ordinance of the city that prohibits minors from being on public places in the late evening until early morning. They’ll be proposing to reiterate the responsibility of the parents in the implementation of the ordinance to keep youngsters from wandering the streets during the night.
To be included in the ordinance is the Code of Parental Responsibility, as said by Sabuga-a. This said code will provide the liability of the parents towards the minor’s offense if caught out on the streets between 10:00PM and 5:00AM.
Loitering in cafes, bars, restaurants, beer houses, cocktail lounges, night clubs, markets, discotheque joints, cocktail lounges, liquor stores, parks, massage clinics, plazas, hotels, sidewalks, bowling alleys, halls and in theater lobbies are also prohibited among minors under the said ordinance.
