25 Sep Dangerous Drug Board Praises City-wide Rehab Program of CdeO
The Dangerous Drug Board (DDB) praised the city government of Cagayan de Oro City for its successful implementation of the Community-Based Rehabilitation Program (CBRP) put up at different barangays in the city for former drug dependents.
In an article from Cagayan de Oro New Bulletin, DDB Officer-in-Charge of Policy Studies Research and Statistics Division, Rebecca Arambulo, and Sociologist Cathryn Dizon visited the city to conduct a study on the current city-wide rehab program in which the Local Government Unit of CdeO is one of the target places.
During the visit, Oro Citizen’s Wellness Center Head, Rhyselle Descallar, presented the system administration of the City Anti-Drug Council (CADAC) to the DBB representatives.
Also, the DBB has visited Barangay Tablon and Barangay Bayabas, two CdeO areas where the current system has been running.
In her message, Arambulo encouraged the rehabilitating drug dependents to change their ways for the better and for their loved ones. She and Dizon also thanked the officials of the two barangays they visited for their full support to the program.
