05 Mar Davao Health Center Gives Out Nicotine Candies To Quitting Smokers
Mga higala! The District Health Center of Davao City is now offering nicotine candies or lozenges to smokers who want to stop smoking!
These lozenges help give smokers and ex-smokers a quick relief from cravings that are part of nicotine withdrawal.
ICYDK, nicotine candies are part of a nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) that comes in forms similar to normal candies, with a variety of flavors. When dissolved in the mouth, nicotine is then absorbed into the bloodstream, preventing the urge to smoke.
However, it’s still not clear if these are free or for sale in the said health center.
