08 Sep DepEd Releases Statement Regarding Sexual Abuse Against Students
Mga higala! The Department of Education (DepEd) has released an official statement today, September 8, 2022, regarding reports of sexual abuse and violence against students!
ICYDK, 5 teachers in Bacoor, Cavite have been charged with administrative cases by DepEd due to sexual harassment.
According to the said statement, DepEd, together with Vice President and Secretary Sara Duterte, has a zero-tolerance policy for all forms of abuse in their schools and against their learners.
They then added that they are taking all reports and/or complaints about sexual abuse and violence seriously since they want to make sure that all schools in the Philippines are safe spaces for students and are free from sexual predators.
