02 Sep DepEd To Strictly Implement Gender-Responsive Basic Education Policy: Gender Equality & More!
Mga higala! The Department of Education (DepEd) has released a memo reiterating the implementation of DepEd Order No. 32, s. 2017, aka the Gender-Responsive Basic Education Policy!
The order aims to “integrate the principles of gender equality, gender equity, gender sensitivity, non-discrimination, and human rights in the provision and governance of basic education”.
Hopefully, with this, DepEd will be able to address all issues and concerns regarding gender and sexuality and protect all learners from all forms of gender-related violence, abuse, exploitation, discrimination, and bullying.
