16 May Developments in SM CDO2 Premier Now on the 5th Level
Along C.M. Recto will rise SM Prime’s 2nd shopping center in Cagayan de Oro, SM CDO2 Premier. The location is where the Coca-Cola bottling facility settled before.
The developments have already reached on the 5th level and soon, it will become the biggest SM shopping mall in Mindanao. With a Gross Floor Area (GFA) of 174,399 sqm, it will be a six storey commercial building with a 12-storey BPO tower. It will feature retail, office, theaters, and tons of restaurants.
It was reported that the construction of SM CDO2 Premier will cost about P1.11 billion with the design created by Texas-based DSN Associates Inc which posted the rendering of the mall. The company’s head office lies at 115 West Greenbriar Lane, Dallas, Texas, USA and owned by Architect Robert L. Meckfessel.
The SM CDO2 Premier is part of SM Prime’s five-year program which started in 2014 that entails P400 billion capital spending budget to beef up its businesses , doubling earnings by 2018. SM Prime is focused in expanding on major cities outside Metro Manila where disposable income is likely to increase and where retails is currently limited.
Eyeing for an overall mall GFA grow by 8% to 10% per year, SM Prime plans to build four to five malls in the Philippines each year.

Posted at 02:58h, 16 MayHave you really confirmed it’s gonna be a 6-storey mall or Mindanao’s soon-to-be biggest mall? I wouldn’t bet it’ going to be. Because if this article is misleading, it’s gonna be hard for your website to be trusted by those who keenly read. Anyway, just my observations, the fourth floor’s floor-to-ceiling height is distinctly lower than the ground floor up to the third. The activity on the fifth shows no aggressive expansion (probably a roof deck or some kind of aesthetics?), only except at the area where the BPO building shall stand are there some continuing progress.
