04 Mar DILG: Vaccination Cards No Longer Required When Entering Malls In Alert Level 1 Areas
Mga higala! COVID-19 vaccination cards are no longer required in Alert Level 1 areas when entering malls!
This was recently said by DILG Undersecretary Jonathan Malaya.
He explained that vax cards are not needed when entering a mall BUT it is required when you visit establishments INSIDE a mall that’s considered as a 3C area (closed, crowded, close-contact):
- restaurant
- spa or salon
- movie house
- other similar establishments
However, Malaya also expressed that he acknowledges that some malls in Alert Level 1 areas are still requiring shoppers to present their vaccination cards upon entry.
He then added that although there is nothing wrong with this policy, they will be discuss this matter with concerned local government units (LGUs).
