DITO Passes 1st Technical Audit: Records Minimum Speeds Of 85.9 Mbps (4G) & 507 Mbps (5G)

Mga higala! Dito Telecommunity Corporation has passed its first technical audit by delivering on its various commitments for its first year of operations!

According to the report from R.G. Manabat and Co., an independent auditor, DITO has reached 37.48% or 37,845,315 for its first-year national population coverage. This is comprised of over 8,000 barangays in the country.

(Based on the 2015 national census, the Philippines has an estimated population of 100.973 million.)

Moreover, DITO is said to have recorded minimum average broadband speeds of 85.9 Mbps for 4G and 507.5 Mbps for 5G.

The following broadband speeds were also recorded in:

Areas near base stations

  • 4G- 102.4 Mbps
  • 5G- 769.1 Mbps

Areas far from base stations

  • 4G- 64.4 Mbps
  • 5G- 316 Mbps

These accomplishments are all within DITO’s commitments, as required by the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC).
