19 May DOH-10 Records 3,632 Dengue Cases, 2,736 ILIs, 664 Typhoid Fever, & More!
Mga higala! In a recent press briefing, the Department of Health (DOH) in Northern Mindanao has reassured the public that despite the current COVID-19 pandemic, they are still keeping an eye on other “notifiable diseases” in the region!
According to Regional Director Dr. Adriano Suba-an, they have recorded the following cases, from January 1 to May 16, 2020:
- 3,632 Dengue cases
- 2,736 Influenza-like illnesses (ILI)
- 664 Typhoid Fever cases
- 396 Measles cases
- 291 Acute Bloody Diarrhea cases
These are said to be the “Top 5” diseases that are currently being monitored by the DOH.
Suba-an also added that they are urging everyone to vaccinate their kids, to use the 5S method against dengue, and to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
