31 Mar DOH Condemns Attacks & Discrimination Against Healthcare Workers Due To COVID-19
Mga higala! The Department of Health (DOH) has released a statement condemning the “physical assault, harassment, and discrimination” committed against the country’s health care workers, amid the COVID-19 pandemic!
According to their statement, they have received reports that many health workers around the Philippines are being attacked physically, including being thrown with bleach or splashed with chlorine. Some people are also refusing them access to public transportation, laundry shops, and others have been evicted from their homes.
The DOH then stressed that we should be protecting them from harm and discrimination, since they are doing their best to help and protect us against the virus while risking their lives every single day.
