05 Nov READ: DOLE Releases Guidelines For 13th Month Pay
Mga higala! The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) recently released an advisory containing the guidelines on the payment of 13th month pay!
The said advisory highlighted that rank-and-file employees in the private sector are entitled to get 13th month pay regardless of their position, designation, or employment status.
However, they must have worked for at least 1 month during the calendar year.
Below are the other details:
AMOUNT
Total basic salary earned for the year ÷ 12 months = proportionate 13th-month pay
TIME OF PAYMENT
On or before December 24, 2021.
EXEMPTION
No request or application for exemption from the payment of 13th month pay or for deferment of the said payment shall be accepted or allowed.
