10 Dec DOLE Reminds Employers Again To Give 13th Month Pay On Or Before Dec. 24
Mga higala! The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) is now reminding employers in the private sector to give the 13th-month pay of their workers on or before December 24, 2020!
This was recently reiterated by DOLE Secretary Silvestre Bello III. He then stressed that employees who have been working for any private company for over a month are entitled to said compensation or payment.
“An employee, regardless of status and has served his/her employer for a month, is entitled to a 13th-month pay.”
ICYDK, a 13th-month pay is a mandatory benefit for private-sector workers under Presidential Decree 851.
