12 Dec LOOK: DPWH Installs Trash Nets To Save Fishing Grounds In Iligan City
Mga higala! The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has installed TRASH NETS under several bridges in Iligan City, to prevent residential garbage from polluting the important FISHING GROUNDS of Iligan Bay!
The trash nets were placed in Barangay Tibanga and Tubod, and helps collect waste materials like plastic bottles, food packagings, etc. while allowing water to flow freely towards the sea during heavy rains.
Over 10 tons of garbage has been collected by DPWH-Lanao del Norte since the trash nets were installed in June 2019.
