20 Oct Drug Runner from Lanao Possessing P113,000 worth of Shabu Arrested at CDO
On October 18, Tuesday afternoon, P113,000 worth of illegal drugs were confiscated by the police. A suspected drug carrier was arrested by the police during a sting operation at Barangay 35, Cagayan de Oro City.
The drug suspect is identified by the Police Station 2 deputy chief, Senior Inspector Julius Saluta as Nasif Boncaros, 19 years old and resides at Payawan, Balo-i, Lanao del Norte.
The police presume that Boncaros has been delivering illegal drugs at Barangay 35.
The suspect admitted that he would rather supply illegal drugs than do farming in his hometown as he could earn more money from it. He added that his source is called “Inday.”
10 pieces of various sachets weighed around 50 grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride or commonly known as shabu and the P500 drug bust money was confiscated by the authorities from the suspect who is deemed as a high-value target.
The seized items were forwarded to the crime laboratory for examination.
Boncaros did not resist arrest and was brought to the police station. He will be facing charges for violating the Dangerous Drugs Act.
Man Shot At Tignapoloan, Cagayan de Oro City
A 50-year-old man was shot at Tignapoloan, Cagayan de Oro City, on October 18, Tuesday night. The police are now investigating and gathering leads on the shooting incident.
The victim is identified as Tito Nacalaban who suffered a shot to his face from an undetermined firearm. He was immediately brought to the hospital and was discharged thereafter.
Police Station 8 chief, Senior Inspector Dennis Ebsolo stated, “We are still conducting investigation kay we received report nga naunay ra daw.”
He added that they are pursuing the unidentified suspect.
