02 Sep 6 Drug Suspects Arrested by the Authorities Through Separate Operations in Carmen
In separate operations, the authorities were able to arrest 6 drug suspects last August 31, 2016, Wednesday in Barangay Carmen, Cagayan de Oro, undertaken by the elements of Police Station 4 and Police Detective Management Desk (DMD) in the said barangay.
Among the six drug suspects were couple Pio and Leonor Saren who are residents of Barangay Bonbon. They were caught after their house was said being used as a drug den.
Actually, the Saren couple had already responded to the Philippine National Police’s (PNP) operation Tokhang but it turned out that they remained active in the illegal drug trade.
Also identified by the police were Elvis Talasan and his live-in partner Loren Baal who are residents of El Salvador City, Misamis Oriental who happened to be on the drug watch list of the said city’s PNP, and Mars Gomal from San Jose Goso, Zamboanga City. The mentioned individuals were with the Saren couple.
Meanwhile, one other suspect identified as Baima Buzar was arrested in the follow-up operation conducted still in Barangay Carmen. The police believed that Buzar is the source of the illegal drugs.
The authorities were able to recover 10 small and large sizes of sachets which contained suspected shabu weighing 40 grams amounted at P200,000, several drug paraphernalia, .45 caliber pistol with one magazine loaded with 8 ammunition, and marked money.
