2 Drug Suspects killed in a drug-bust at Villanueva, MisOr

Last April 30, 2017, 2 drug suspects were killed in a cemetery in Villanueva, Misamis Oriental after police conducted a drug bust operation in the area.

In a report from SunStar, it was identified that the suspects were Jessie Borres (28) and Michael Cabale (31), both from Tagoloan. During the operation, both suspects resisted from being arrested which caused them to sustain fatal gunshots wound in the different parts of their body. Borres who had a handgun sustained shots while Cabale who carried with him a magnum revolver ran and was neutralized in a community inside the cemetery.

The police were able to retrieve firearms from the suspects and 8 sachets of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu worth P8,000.

It was noted that these suspects turned themselves in the first wave of Oplan Tokhang but were back in business after the police halted from their anti-illegal drug operation for a month.

Suspects will be facing charges against for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act and illegal possession of firearms.
