10 Aug DSWD Region 10 Clarifies ECQ Special Ayuda Eligibility Issue
Mga higala! The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) of Region 10 published a post today, August 10, shutting down rumors circulating online that only working family members can receive the ECQ Special Ayuda!
According to their post, this information is not accurate and that based on the Joint Memorandum Circular No. 2 Series of 2021 (as agreed among the DSWD, the Department of National Defense, and the DILG), a cash aid of P1,000 can be received per individual (as long as he/she has been listed as a qualified beneficiary) and a maximum of P4,000 per ECQ-affected family.

QUALIFIED BENEFICIARIES
- Qualified beneficiaries of the past Social Amelioration Program (SAP)
- Those in the vulnerable sector: people living alone, senior citizens, PWDs, solo parents, etc.
- Other individuals affected by ECQ, including stranded workers
