29 Jun Duterte administration refuses deal with terrorist groups
In an article from thestandard.com.ph, Presidential Spokesperson Ernesto Abella said yesterday, June 27, that the government will still be standing on its ground and uphold its policy of not meeting halfway with any agreement with terrorists.
Abella added that the gravity of the offenses done by terrorist groups were too extreme to be disregarded through diplomatic agreements and that the terrorist “..must all be held accountable for their actions.”
With some reports going around media that Abu Sayyaf leader Isnilon Hapilon have already fled Marawi City, Abella said that it is the sign of the extremist group leader’s cowardice.
He also added that Hipsilon’s fleeing the war-torn city also shows that the members of the terrorist group may have been experiencing some kind of a wrangle within their group.
