21 Jul President Duterte Approves Limited Face-to-Face Classes In COVID-19 Low-Risk Areas
Mga higala! President Rodrigo Duterte has approved a proposal to conduct “limited face-to-face classes” in areas considered low risk in COVID-19 transmission!
This was formally proposed by Education Secretary Leonor Briones during a meeting yesterday, July 20, 2020.
The said face-to-face classes will not be for the entire five days of the school week, but only for a day or two.
Secretary Briones then emphasized that these classes will help close inequality gaps, noting that if we heavily rely on online learning, we will have “equity problems” for those who don’t have access to digital equipment.
