30 Mar Duterte to enforce tough smoking ban in PH soon
In an article from Manila Bulletin, President Rodrigo Duterte announced on Wednesday, during his visit in Oriental Mindoro, that a tough smoking ban will be implemented in the country soon.
Duterte said that a person can only smoke in an open sea at least five kilometers from coastal shores. The president also admitted that he is enduring low oxygen level due to his smoke habit before.
He admitted that he is using oxygen concentrator to help him breathe. The oxygen concentrator was spotted in photos on his Birthday.
Earlier this year, the Department of Health proposed a draft Executive Order on the public smoking ban which is a mirrored EO from the smoking ban in Davao City.
The EO will help bring down the number of people affected by smoking related illness.
