27 Apr Duterte in a Landslide Victory, Quiboloy Predicts
Apollo Quiboloy, the Kingdom of Jesus Christ founder said during his 66th birthday celebration last Monday, April 25, that Davao City Mayor Rodrigo “Digong” Duterte would notch a landslide victory in his campaign for the 2016 Philippine presidential elections.
“You cannot fight the devil if you are a saint. You can only fight the devil if you are more of a devil than the devil himself,” Quiboloy said, referring to Duterte. “Duterte is the Apollo that this country needs – to slay the corruption, to slay drug addiction, and to slay poverty…Good doesn’t defeat evil. The greater evil defeats evil,” he added, pertaining to Quiboloy’s self-produced theatrical play,”Apollo: The Serpent Slayer.”
Quiboloy and Duterte met at Jose Maria College during Quiboloy’s annual birthday celebration that intentionally coincides with the National Children’s Day.
This is a day after the third and last presidential debates held in Pangasinan. The event has been attended by prominent senatorial candidates. It includes Sherwin Gatchalian, Miguel Zubiri, Leila De Lima, and Edu Manzano, to name a few.
Duterte is a long-time friend of Quiboloy, dating back into the 1970’s. Their relationship with each other has been that long and Quiboloy himself is an active supporter for the presidential bet from Davao City. He even provides free transportation for Duterte volunteers and supporters alike.
During the said birthday celebration, a speech has been granted for Duterte to voice out his plans. He said, “Pag manalo ako, except yung Greater Metro Manila, we have to continue this thing, yung programa ni Aquino na maganda at nakapabuti sa tao, we will continue!”
He also added, “I will get Roxas and the others candidates’ nice programs. I will copy them,” humorously said the statement to the audience.
Aside from their friendship, Quiboloy is actively campaigning for Duterte due to his dream that a Duterte will seat in the Malacañang Palace.
After the presidential debate on April 24, the latest Pulse Asia Survey has been released on the 26th and Duterte got the highest mark of the survey sitting up high at 35% despite the black propaganda waged against him these past few weeks.
