07 May Duterte Leads Recent Survey A Week Before The Elections, Must We Expect A Mindanaoan President This Time?
May 9 is just around the corner, and everyone must have already decided which presidential candidate to vote for. But undeniably, there are still undecided voters. Just like in the recent presidential survey conducted by the Social Weather Stations, 4% of the 4,500 registered voters were still undecide on which candidate to vote this coming elections. But overwhelmingly, PDP-Laban Party’s bet Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte leads the said survey.
Publication partner of SWS, BusinessWorld, reported that Duterte garnered 33% rating in the said poll that was conducted on May 1 until May 3. According to SWS, the mayor’s rating hasn’t changed compared to its last survey conducted on April 18 to 20.
Following Duterte is the Independent candidate Senator Grace Poe with 22% rating. It was decreased by 2 points compared to the senator’s last survey rating.
On the thrid place is Mar Roxas with 20% rating, one point increase compared to his last survey rating.
Still on the 4th place is Vice President Jejomar Binay who scored 13%, one point decrease in his last survey rating. With Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago on the last and fifth spot garnering only 2% rating.
Based on the said survey, Duterte is being favored by the majority of the respondents. Must we expect a Mindanaoan president this time? Let us know your thoughts!
