President Duterte Extends Lockdown In Luzon & “High-Risk Areas” In Visayas & Mindanao Until May 15

Mga higala! In today’s address, President Rodrigo Duterte announced that the lockdown in the Philippines will be extended until May 15, 2020, due to the still ongoing threat of COVID-19!

Metro Manila, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, and all other “high-risk areas” like Cebu and Panay islands in the Visayas, and Davao del Norte, Davao de Oro, and Davao City in Mindanao, will remain under enhanced community quarantine.

Low and moderate-risk areas will then be placed under general community quarantine starting May 1, resuming access to basic necessities and public transportation at a “reduced” capacity.
