16 Sep Duterte’s New Drug List Reveals 1000 Government Officials Allegedly Involved in Illegal Drug Trade
“The final report is there, I’m about to make it public so nakiusap ako sa mga congressman kahapon, What will I do with this? There are 1,000 barangay captains and police and mayors and governors and about—judges. Nandiyan na lahat,” said President Rodrigo Duterte revealing that a thousand government officials are included in his new drug list last September 15, 2016 before elite Army Scout Rangers in Camp Tecson, San Miguel, Bulacan.
Duterte added saying, “Galing iyan sa mga raw tapos pinahasa ko sa mga Intelligence then sa NICA [National Intelligence Coordinating Agency] tapos sa PDEA [Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency], NICA. Ganoon kakapal,” however he did not name the people included in the list. “Iyan ang problema natin, hindi ko na siguro—hindi ko na kaya ‘to, masisira ako. Ito iyong problema natin sa droga.”
A day earlier before the speech of the President, Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II said that Duterte spoke about the new list and that was during the Cabinet meeting in Malacañang on September 14, 2016, Wednesday adding that, “Kagabi ipinakita niya sa Cabinet meeting. Ang kapal [ng list] at sinasabi niya ay may policemen, politicians, etc.”
