24 Feb Duterte Supporters to Set Rallies in Mindanao Come February 25
As a way to counter the anti-Duterte’s expected tirades against President Rodrigo Duterte this coming February 25, 2017, Saturday, which happened to be the commemoration of the 1986 EDSA Revolution, his supporters are set to conduct rallies in Mindanao and in abroad, said to be in Tokyo, Macau, Dubai, London, Madrid, Toronto, Paris, and Hong Kong, according to a report from the Inquirer.
Vice President for Southern Mindanao of the Mayor Rodrigo Roa Duterte National Executive Coordinating Committee (MRRD-NEC) Constancio Tiongco said that the rally at the Rizal Park in Davao City will be synced with the larger rally in Manila’s Rizal Park (Luneta).
The rally, which has been endorsed by Davao Mayor Sara Duterte herself on social media, was considered after the pro-Duterte received reports regarding the anti-Duterte’s protests on the said date demanding the ouster of Duterte.
Iligan and Zamboanga have rescheduled the rallies to 3:00 PM while motorcades will be conducted in Butuan and Surigao.
For those who would like to attend the said rally, Tiongco said that participating individuals should wear red and blue which served as the campaign color of the President.
