In an article from Philstar.com, Presidential Spokesperson Ernesto Abella said that the work and class suspension will also give way to the expected nationwide protests on the commemoration of the 45th anniversary of martial law of the late President Ferdinand Marcos. He also emphasized that it will not be considered as a regular holiday.

The memo goes to say that the suspension of work in private companies and classes of private schools will depend upon the discretion of the concerned offices.
