In a Saturday interview last January 30 with Duterte, he ridiculed Roxas for claiming that he is all work and no drama as being shown in his latest political ad.

“I was there day two. Si Mar parang zombie rin. Hindi malaman kung ano ang sasabihin. Nag-drama ka, nagbisikleta ka, natumba ka saka kumain ng kanin sa baso, how stupid can you get?” Duterte said.

Duterte referred to the time when Typhoon Yolanda struck and caused damage with a high death toll in the Visayas region. And Roxas was the Interior and Local Government Secretary that time.

In response to Duterte’s mockery, Roxas said that Duterte was just trying to win back the public’s attention through his words now that he has fallen fourth in the recent survey ratings calling him “saling pusa” and “epal”.

“Si Mayor Duterte ay pang-apat sa mga surveys. Dati sabi niya ayaw niyang kausapin ang pang-apat na kandidato, eh siya na ngayon ang pang-apat. So siyempre naghahanap siya ngayon ng paraan para makasama muli sa usapin ng ating mga kababayan. At ang kanyang pagsasaling- pusa, ang kanyang pag-eepal niya sa mga eksenang wala naman siyang kinalaman ay silbi lamang nito,” Roxas said.

Roxas added, “Dati-rati sabi niya na mahusay ako, malinis ako. Ngayon, kung ano ano ang sinasabi tungkol sa akin. Ano ba talaga ang katotohanan, Digong (Duterte)?”.

Social Weather Stations’ latest presidential survey ranked Roxas at the third place with Duterte at the fourth place.
