02 Aug Duterte warns of impending terror attacks in 3 Mindanao areas
Senate Majority Leader Vicente “Tito” Sotto III disclosed today, August 2, that Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte gave his warning about certain terrorist groups who are now plotting an attack in 3 areas in Mindanao.
In an article from Inquirer.net, Sotto said that they were informed by the President in a meeting at Malacañang Palace about the planned attacks from some terrorist-rebel groups. Aside from that, they were also told by the President to themselves with the latest developments regarding the terror attacks.
The Senator refused to name the 3 areas in Mindanao and said that it should be the President who would be making the revelation.
According to Sotto, the President has expressed his intention to add over 20,000 personnel from the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
