Last August 22, 2016, Monday, six people were arrested in a drug buy-bust operation in Zamboanga City. And 2 of them were Dutertes.

Chief of the Zamboanga City Police Station in Barangay Tetuan, Superintendent Nonito Asdai identified the 2 Dutertes as Adrian and Arlyn, his sister. The other arrested individuals were Ceejay Janal, Stevenson Ardelesa, Jerry Paul Violanggo and Archie Quilante.

The authorities were able to seize five pieces of heat-sealed transparent sachets containing white crystalline substance which were believed to be shabu, and drug paraphernalia from the Dutertes.

According to Asdai, it was two months ago when he interviewed the Duterte siblings when they surrendered to the police, asking them if they were related to President Rodrigo Duterte and they said no. “I had a heart-to-heart talk with them because of their surname, and I pleaded to them to stop selling and using drugs. Last night, we chanced upon them in a buy-bust operation.”
