Earth is currently bracing for a “solar minimum”, a period in which our Sun radiates less energy or heat at our planet than usual.
According to scientists, this will likely cause the earth to enter a “mini ice-age” that could bring colder weather, extreme winters, and cold storms all over the world, for the next 30 years.
ICYDK, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), has also said that the Sun, which is currently in solar cycle #25, will reach its lowest activity in over 200 years this 2020.
This kind of phenomenon can cause temperatures to drop as much as 1°C, damage a wide variety of crops, and trigger food shortages across the planet.
