19 Mar Electric Jeepney Helps Passengers Affected by Transport Strike in CDO

Mga higala! Today’s Tigil Pasada (Transport Strike) implemented by transport groups has given an electric jeepney the opportunity to pick-up passengers.
Photos were posted by Sunstar CDO showing an electric jeepney driving across the city to provide transport for some passengers affected by the lack of jeepneys on the road.

These electric jeepneys can be equipped with GPS, an airconditioning system, a wifi connection, dashcam, a swiping machine for the fare and a capacity of 20 passengers. Each of these will cost around P1 million each and can be availed by operators/drivers with a loan from the Land Bank.
Newer and environmental-friendly models such as these may replace older jeepneys due to the PUV Modernization Program soon.
