04 Jun LOOK: Endangered Hawksbill Sea Turtle Lays 165 Eggs @ Duka Bay Resort
Mga higala! A HAWKSBILL SEA TURTLE, which is now considered as a critically endangered species, laid a total of 165 eggs last night, June 3, at the shores of Duka Bay Resort!
The eggs are now being protected and are expected to hatch in a few months.
DENR representatives also delicately moved the eggs to higher ground, since it was laid by the mother below the high tide level.
ICYDK, this is amazing news for us and for nature, since the population of hawksbill sea turtles has been dwindling over the years due to illegal human activities and waste pollution.
