06 Mar LOOK: Endangered Mindanao Hawk-Eagle Found @ Baroy, Lanao del Norte
Mga higala! A young Pinker’s Hawk Eagle aka the Mindanao Hawk-Eagle (Nisaetus Pinskeri), an endangered eagle species, was recently discovered in Brgy. Princesa, Baroy, Lanao del Norte!
The eagle was turned over today, March 6, 2023, by a concerned resident, at the PGLDN-Environment and Natural Resources Office in Tubod.

The Mindanao Hawg-Eagle was then brought to the Provincial Veterinary Office (PVO) for various medical examinations and treatment.
“The Pinker’s Hawk Eagle was declared endangered with the population being estimated at 400 to 600 and still continuing to decrease. We are glad that this eagle is found here in our province. This goes to show that there are still rare species living in our protected areas,” said Engr. Melba Maghuyop, ENRO Head.
