28 Sep GCash, PayMaya, BPI, BDO, & Many Others To Start Charging Online Bank Transfer Fees Starting October 1
Mga higala! E-wallet apps like GCash and PayMaya, as well as banks like BPI and BDO, will be resuming fees for online interbank fund transfers starting this October 1, 2020!
ICYDK, all bank fees were temporarily waived earlier this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The following are the e-wallets and online bank services that will be charging fees for bank transfers (via InstaPay and PESONet):

Meanwhile, the following banks will continue to waive their bank transfer fees until December 31:

- Philippine Veterans Bank
- Security Bank Corporation
- Standard Chartered Bank
- Sterling Bank of Asia
- The Hongkong & Shanghai Banking Corporation – fees for corporate accounts reduced to ₱50
- Union Bank of the Philippines
- United Coconut Planters Bank
