Mga higala! Are you looking for an adventure this week? Then you should try and visit the Twin Waterfalls of Claveria, Misamis Oriental- the Katubhan and Mat-i Falls!
These twin waterfalls are some of the most beautiful treasures of the municipality, with its beauty and equally challenging trail, with an unforgettable view, made by nature.

This destination is only 1 hour and 30 minutes away from Cagayan de Oro City!
How to get there?
1. Contact Claveria Tourism Office and hire local guides. Sir Jhong recommends Ar-Ar Abrogar (09755496786) and Kokong Bear Andam (09059610895). Their guide fee is 800 per 10 persons.
2. Ride an aircon van bound to Claveria, at the Agora Terminal. Fare is 80 pesos and expect 1 hour & 30 minutes of travel time.
3. Meet your local guides at Claveria and ride a dulog/badja/tuktok/tricab going to Barangay Mat-i. Fare is 50 pesos per head and travel time is around 30 minutes.
4. Prepare your knees for an hour of steep descent trek to the falls. If you’re not an adventurous person, this may not for you.
5. River trek to the falls is expected with up to knee-level of water. Bring a dry bag to waterproof your belongings.
6. There are no stores around the falls so bring own food and water.
7. Bring with you your own garbage bags and don’t leave any trash in the area. Maintain cleanliness around the falls. Leave no trace.
