13 Oct EXPO MOM: The Ultimate Trade Expo of Mom and Baby Products – The Motherhood Journey in Cagayan de Oro
EXPO MOM by Mommy Mundo is considered as the ultimate event for mothers. Its second visit to Mindanao is set to be inspired by the mommyhoods of Cagayan de Oro at the Ayala Centrio Mall on October 15, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. No matter what kind of mom you are, this Expo Mom event is the ultimate event just for you. It’s going to be a fun-filled, adventurous, and educational whole-day experience for every mother and mom-to-be out there. All mothers and mothers-to-be and their families are encouraged to visit the venue and spend time with the event. In the morning, The Modern Nanays of Mindanao, a group of mothers that promote breastfeeding, babywearing, and cloth diapering, will lead off with a Mamba Session, a zumba class made especially for moms with slings.

This will be followed by a Prenatal Yoga Session to enlighten moms by Dr. Raissa Paje Bayawa, founder of Happy Heart Kids Yoga. There will then be a session focusing on Pregnancy and Breastfeeding by Dr. Jess Sareno, neonatologist, and Nadine Casino, founder of Modern Nanays of Mindanao. Another session following this will touch on Baby Care with discussions on the right way to wear baby clothes and in using age-appropriate toys to help in the child’s development. There will then be a Bento-Making Session specifically targeted at children who are picky eaters by the Bento Mommas, a pioneering group who have been already around the country lecturing on proper child feeding. Payment is just P900 and this is inclusive of basic bento tool kit, bento box, and food ingredients for the workshop plus freebies from sponsors that can all be taken home after the event. In the afternoon, Kikay Mommy will give a Make-up On the Go Demonstration for Busy Mothers and a Craft Workshop for Homegrown Moms and a Kids Crafts Group. In between the events many prizes will be given away due to the generosity of its sponsors and exhibitors such as Caltrate Plus and Belo Baby. To cap off the whole day event, a Fashion Show devoted to babywearing will showcase and highlight the fact that it is still possible to look beautiful and trendy even with a baby in tow.

Expo Mom was first launched in 2008 with the objective to become the country’s ultimate trade expo for mothers and baby products. The first event in Manila was a resounding success and well-received by almost 2,000 mothers and their families. With its mixture of interactive exhibit, shopping bazaar, and onstage activities all in a single venue, the event proved that motherhood is truly a celebration worthy of note. Starting 2009, Expo Mom and Mommy Mundo began launching its event in a larger format and in other areas aside from Metro Manila such as at the Alabang Town Center. In October of 2011, Expo Mom goes nationwide by holding similar events in Cebu and Davao.
