18 Jun DOH Exec: Face Shields Can Be Removed When Outdoors
Mga higala! According to DOH Undersecretary Leopoldo Vega, face shields can be removed when outdoors (while walking on the street or working) since the risk of COVID-19 transmission in this setting is low!
He also acknowledged that the moisture buildup on face shields can affect workers.
This was what Vega said recently when he was asked if laborers who work outdoors are allowed to remove their face shields while working.
However, the treatment czar and the DOH want to remind everyone that face shields must be worn indoors or when having face-to-face interactions.
