In an article from Bombo Radyo News Website, the Philippine National Police (PNP)-Anti Cyber Region 10 arrested a fake talent manager in an entrapment operation at Middleton Apartelle in Brgy. Carmen, Cagayan de Oro City last Jul7 12, 2017.
The entrapment operation was conducted after Renan Ranile, who presented himself to be a talent manager, blackmailed an unnamed female model from Brgy. Carmen, Cagayan de Oro City. Ranile allegedly threatened the model to spread her nude photos online which she brought up to police authorities to seek for immediate help.
During the operation, the victim lured Ranile into a meet-up-and-sex transaction resulting to the arrest of the suspect.
It was found out that Ranile is a seaman and used a different name while making the transactions with the model.
